About the Welfare Advice Service
What is the Welfare Advice Service?
The Welfare Advice Service is a community interest company that aims to help people claim the benefits they are entitled to and answer questions about welfare benefits. It is a not-for-profit company.
Who pays for the Welfare Advice Service?
We receive funding from local authorities to help people claim what they are entitled to.
What experience do you have in this subject?
Between 2001 and 2011, we were running as the Kent Benefits Partnership. Since April 2011, we have been a private organisation so that we can provide a more adaptable service to more people.
What areas do you cover?
We currently cover the areas of Ashford Borough Council and Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council. If you feel there is a need for the service in your area, please let us know. We are unable to provide advice to people who live outside these areas at the moment because we do not have the funding to do this.
